Full Service Professional Wash & Dry
Improper bathing and drying by un-skilled bathers can cause matting of the coat, skin complaints, poor coat condition, hot spots or fungus infections, resulting in costly trips to the Veterinarian. A professionally washed dog should feel, look and smell clean all over no matter how dirty the dog was to start with. Dogoverboard specialise in correctly washing and drying all dog breeds, no matter how big or small.
Fresh warm water & self draining
Recycled dirty wash or rinse water is not used at Dogoverboard. Fresh warm water automatically heated to preset prescribed temperature is used in all baths. The baths are self draining which allows the dirty wash and rinse water to drain away from your dog. This allows all shampoo reside to be removed from the dog which minimises the possibility of itching, dandruff or allergic reactions.
Hand drying
Dogoverboard prefer to completely hand dry dogs after a professional wash. Cage or forced drying is not used. Professional hand drying identifies problems such as fleas, ticks, skin complaints, lumps and bumps. Unlike cage drying, hand drying does not stress the dog or cause body over-heating and burning. For those owners and dogs that do not require full dry, we offer our express bath where we towel dry after the bath.
Professional Advice
Our experienced staff are trained to provide professional advice on the correct methods of bathing and drying, selection of suitable shampoos and conditioners for breed type and dog coat and the correct tools and products for coat maintenance. As example it is very important to ensure that incorrect bathing techniques or use of unsuitable shampoos and rinses, do not interfere with long term flea and tick control products such as Frontline and Advantix. Dogoverboard understand how to wash dogs without interfering with the effectiveness of these long term flea treatments and we are happy to advise owners.
Add on Services
Our trained staff can also provide add-on services such as nail clipping, ear cleaning, ear syringing and plucking, face or pad trimming, medicated washes such as Malaseb, coat thinning, brushing, doubled coat blow-out or the furminator shed-less treatment.
